Intake will give you a growl. While the muffler will hum. You know this man!

I think the intake will give you a more satisfying growl. Plus, you can turn it off by not flooring the throttle The wrong muffler will drone all the time.

I've seen intakes dyno 5hp more at the wheels, never that much for a muffler alone...

Intake won't really do any good if you don't have something done to your exhaust. You need t get the exhaust out just as fast as it goes in. I just purchases a Stillen intake and a RT gutted cat to free up the exhaust flow.

Don't waste your money on the hi-flow cat. Just get the intake.

That one looks like it will get the job done.

like Jefferson said, don't waste your money on a highflow cat.
it won't do anything.
if you want to free up power...get a ypipe, not a cat.

brand of intake....i'd say either jwt or stillen filter.
along with that you could get a custom, ebay, or frankencar midpipe.

I suggest a ypipe, but if you are just into sound and not performance, get an intake. An exhaust or high flow cat will gain you ZERO with a stock ypipe, no intake and no boost.

I bought a CAI of Ebay with a K&N Filter for $120. It sounds great, and MIGHT be a little faster.

I built my intake myself, and it cost me very little compared to what a jwt or some of the others were. the most expensive thing i bought was the filter, whick was like 20 bux. paint and everything, i have about 50 in mine, and it is the same thing as anyones popcharger and midpipe-well, it actually sounds different from a friends I30 with an ebay one-Mine is deeper and louder- . I just wish it was back on the road . can i borrow some money from someone?
