I have the common evap system cel coming on now and searched through hundreds of posts but couldn't find what I need. Could someone please explain in detail how to take the "box" out? I checked under the car right under where the gas filler is I saw teh box with hoses plumbed in. Are those under pressure? I didn't want to start pulling out the hoses and stuff until I asked first. Is this the box that people are talking about? Looks easy to take out--no need to even take of the tire to get to it.

That is the box you are looking for...... It is not under pressure..... Just remove the 3 10MM bolts that are holding it in, and it will come down......

Where do you spray the wd-40 at or in?

I am going to take mine out this saturday and try to figure out what to clean and post up if it works. if not---I'll go to the dealer and hopefully this is what the recall was for. I bought the car used--so not sure if it was already done or not.

spray it on the bolts just to make it a little easy on yourself to remove the bolts. You can try it without spraying it too...just dont force anything.
