it's making buzzing noises, and i'm sure it's cracked. Any recommendations on what to change it to? Whats a decent price/brand on components? I'll probably switch the 2 rears also. I can use 6.5's on all of them right? how about the 2 tweeters? i'm not out to put a crazy system on..just something nice and will give that 'umph' thanks and laterz!

i just put jbl speakers in the rear with a sony amp. i think i already busted one of the speakers. damn. i have heard pioneer speakers are good. you could prob get a deal with tweeters and that should be loud enough. you could prob get an amp for the ones in the back, but thats not necessary obviuosly. you may end up blowing the speaker like my dumb ***. good luck. later.

i would be ready to spend at least a coupld hundred bucks. i know for sure you can use 6.5 in the back, not a hundred precent about the front but i think you can.

I tried to fix up my stereo on a budget after my speakers went... I ended up putting in Pioneer 6.5" 2-way speakers all around. It gives you a lot better treble, only problem is if you want them to last you have to wire in a crossover or something like that to remove the super-deep bass frequencies. My system sounds great, only thing is I'm thinking of adding a sub for those ultra-low frequencies I get with my home stereo.
