rpm's rev when i give gas on 5 spd with no clutch depression

recently my 96 5 speed revs when i push the gas in a gear when the clutch is not depressed and the rpm's rev up and not alot of acceleration then they go down again and i accelerate. this is due to an worn out clutch correct? just want to make sure.

my old dynomaxx clutch did it. 99% sure it's your clutch. how many miles on your car? Original clutch? What is your driving style?

135000 miles i dont know if its the orginal becuase i just bought the car at 130000 and i have been driving it pretty hard

clutch is definitely dying
better get if fixed ASAP, before the flywheel gets damaged.

Yeah, I had the SAME problem - its the clutch. And unfortunatly it cost an arm and a leg for a new Nissan Clutch. Dont worry about the flywheel, they will have it resurfaced - consider an aftermarket clutch...Nissan will KILL you on the price... just my .02$
