I have a 99 gxe and I just now am putting on my POS racesonic FSTB from ebay and it is fine except that there is a metal piece on my RIGHT shock area that wont let me put that side of the bar down??? the left side is fine and the metal piece is hold 2 metal lines in place?? WTF how do I get around this? the bar I bought was for a 97-99 so im sure its suppose to fit? Please help.

I may be wrong but don't 99 Maximas have a different setup for the FSTB. I think that you might need the FSTB from a 2000 model. Can someone back me up on this one?

 

yeah i think for the 99.5, it's a lil different.

 

Thanks to all, fixed it..fix = hammer = busted metal piece.. = I now have a FSTB and handling feels TIGHT

 

bro I had the same problem i just took a big screwdriver and pryed it off you can check my homepage you may be able to see what i did I just took some body-color paint and touched up where i pryed the bracket off
