Which intake is better?
The difference is very marginal between all setups. You might gain a hp/tq or two here and there between the two styles of intakes. The difference is so marginal you wouldn't be able to see a difference at the track and I don't think anyone has a ever dynoed with just an intake to see which really works better. I went back and modified my stock airbox by removing all intake resonators, adding a extra cold air hose, and running a K&N filter. I can't tell a difference between my HKS intake and the modified stock airbox.
Don't believe everything you read and just because everyone has one doesn't mean it works. Only ~10% of the NA cars in this site have been track and dyno tested. And of that 10%, only a few have broken into the magically 14 second range. Some have CAI and others have POP chargers.
What's really interesting (read this over at Super Honda.com) is that Japanese tuners DON'T use true CAI (ie into the fender types). The only Japanese tuner that offers a "almost" CAI is Mugen. This setup uses a airbox with a cone filter and a intake snorkel hooking up to the existing outside intake pipe. JUN, Mugen, and GUDE project Hondas all run POP style or stock intake airboxs with better flowing filters. Only US makers are making the CAIs with the filter strapped to the end of the pipe placed in a fender well.
Like I've said before, I think we all believe we are making more power because the car is louder. Cars seem quicker when you've got a loud intake roar and exhaust wailing in your ear. Whether it works or not is the real question.

Dave
you are the one that answer my prior question(hp question)..
right?
thnx for your advice....
and can i ask you couple questions?
if i install CAI, do i need make some holes to my car?
it seemed like it when i observed my car lastnight with stupid blinking flash.
and one more, can you tell me what mods you have?
wanna see what mod you have....
thnx a lot...
to answer your question....yes you make a hole if you install CAI
BTW...what the heck is a spiral max turbine? I dunno if it is an S/C or turbo...but if you are talking force induction...then wouldn't your intake be something different than CAI or POP?
Just wondering cause I dunno what spiral max turbine is...

it helped me a lot....
i finally decided that i will just stay with stillen one.
i saw the 1/4 mile test result, but it was different day means diff. temp. diff. humid and etc....
i think i will be better to stay with SI.
Thank you for helping me out...
