go to a small autoparts store. Companies like Sachs (or whatever the sotre brand is) hand out promo material (like posters, pamphlets, etc.) that show pics of worn clutches, trannies, etc.... Wagner and Wix do it too, with brakes and filters, respectively.

Not to be cocky or anything, but rebuilding my tranny is turning out to be pretty easy.

Its not hard at all. If you're rebuilding the bearings, the only hard part is getting the old ones off. I got to the point that i can get my tranny out of the car and opened under 1.5 hrs. LOL. Took me about 10-12 tries to do that. Dont ask, it was very frustrating, but now I could rebuild one with my eyes closed. Rebuilding an auto on the other hand, looks like a mouthful. The section in the service manual for the auto is like 4 times longer than manual.

I took my tranny internals to the local transmission shop and they removed the bearings for free. Well, okay, this is the same place that I paid $1600 for an Explorer transmission rebuild a month earlier, so maybe it wasn't really free.
