Burning oil?
My max has 119K on it. Used to use 1 qt in between oil changes... normal and within specs, I believe. Now, I after I have added the CAI and nitrous, my oil consumption has increased by a factor of 4 AT LEAST! I drove about 600-700 highway miles this weekend and I burned up a quart of oil just in that time. It has not leaked a drop on my garage floor since I bought it 2 years ago.
Could this be due to a bad air filter? It's a front mount CAI that I purchased through Budget. Could a 55 shot of nitrous do this?
I've had the CAI for about a month... the NO for about the same. My oil consumption seems to have jumped at the same time. The motor is still VERY strong though. Anyone with a clue please let me know.
Should I try an additive? I would like to keep the motor going for at least a year or two so I have time to arrange the 'build' of another VQ.
thanks in advance,
D

OK. First thing. Nitrous?
Your worried about how long your engine lasts and you have nitrous?
I would say that using NOS is probably going to shorten the life of your engine if anything. Also, your oil loose seems to be from an internal problem( how do i know this?,duh cause its not leaking out). IE: piston rings, valvle seals, ect.. Im betting your piston rings are smoked. Take it easy on the ride if you want it to last long.
