Very loud sound after Eibach Spring install

Hey everybody I got my Eibachs installed a couple weeks ago and ever since when I turn the wheel all the way to the left or all the way to the right I get a very loud kind of crunching sound, all I know is it is very lound, somtimes I get it going over bumps as well, also if it means anything I'm also starting to get squeeks and other noises when going over bumps.

Sounds like you may need to wrap your springs.

yeah man I'm sure hoping its just a matter of wrapping my springs, and not something a lot more serious.

The crunching is your CV Boot is in need of replacement, where as the squeeks can be fixed like so:

A crunching noise may actually be your cv joint, normally its a knocking noise. Look under your car and see if the boots torn.

I'm sorry sir, I can tell this was a stupid question.

So back to my other question, this sound I would be getting if my CV joint was bad is it a rather loud sound or a quiet sound?

Cv boots go over cv joints. dust boots go on the struts.

Its kinda loud. Loud enough for you to hear it inside the cabin.

Cool, well seems as if this is definatly the problem, how much am I looking at for, I'm assuming there are two of them on the car, 2 CV boots, and 2 CV joints?

There are 4 Constant Velocity (cv) joints on the car. 2 inner and 2 outer. Each one has a dust boot. IF you are hearing the noise when you corner it will most likley be the outer joint that is bad.

So, how should I go about finding out whether my CV joint is bad and how do I find out which one has gone bad?

Like dave blackburn stated, most likely its the outer. Look under the car, if the joints is bad the boot will be ripped,or torn. Which causes it to loose grease and allow dust in making the joint go bad.

if u havnt got a bunch of lil rocks and pebbles in there already..then go replace thh cv boot(40-60 bucks at local shop).. if it is clanking that badly u might haev to replace the whole joint..those lil pebbles can waer it down over time and you'll be in trouble if that happens.

Where exactly is the CV Joint located? And if I replace both outer CV joints as it seems I will have to, how much will this cost?

cv joint is inside the cv boot. boot protect the joint from dirt, rust, sand, rocks ect. there is buncho grease inside the boot to keep the joint lubed. when boot break, grease leaks.its nasty.take off your wheel and you cant miss it..if in fact your boots are blown, you will see it, or see grease everywhere.
