I'd like to know as well. My car has 48k ('99) and I am going with an Eibach spring drop w/out struts/shocks right now. Will be getting them in July though, so that's cool.

Yes, Tokico makes OEM struts for Nissan. These are NOT the same as the aftermarket struts that they make.

Although they suck just as much

I have 97 SE and i put eibach springs on my ride and i've run for over a year now. its a different ride. its rough of course but i don't know if it was this bad when i first installed them. my struts now might be going bad. but i haven't had any problems to date.

Eibach makes pretty much the stiffest springs available for the Maxima, I'm thinking the ride on stock struts be just terrible. ie bouncing all over the road?

I just replaced my stock SE struts at 100K, but they were way soft at 85K when I got the car. And the dust boots were dust.

DO NOT, I REPREAT, DO NOT INSTALL LOWERING SPRINGS WITHOUT REPLACING YOUR SHOCKS!!!!! ITS A VERY BAD IDEA. MY CAR NOW RIDES BUMPY AS ****> ITS UNBELIEVEABLY BUMPY. I HIT MY HEAD CONSTANTLY ON THE SEALING AND I AM NOT THAT TALL, AND THE CAR SOUNDS LIKE ITS GOING TO FALL APART WHEN IT HITS EVEN THE SLIGHTEST BUMP OR INDENTATION. A LOWERED MAX IS NICE TO LOOK AT BUT ITS NOT WORTH SACRIFICING SO MUCH IN MY OPINION. I LOWERE MY MAX ONLY 2 WEEKS AGO AND MY MECHANIC TOLD ME THE REAR SHOCKS ARE ALREADY BLOWN. THEY WERE CONFIRMED TO BE WORKING PRIOR THE LOWERING MY MAX!
