finally installed my fstb

So I finally set out to install my first an fstb today after finally finding someone with a torque wrench I could borrow. First problem is the 6th bolt will not come off and I was worried I stripped it. Turned out I wasn't using a 14mm socket and when I finally went to buy one the 6th one came off. Then the brackets weren't lining up and I realized it was because I had to take them off to pack to bring it home and I put them on the wrong sides. After taking a full day to do what should have been a 15 minute install I finally got to take it for a test drive and I don't understand how some people say it doesnt make much of a difference. I could tell the steering was tighter the first second I started driving and the car doesn't sway close to as much as usual around corners. Taking corners at speeds I would usually screech the tires a little I took like they were nothing. I can't wait to get my RSB now

im one of those people that weren't impressed
i don't find any value in it, other than a nice cheap mod, that dresses up the engine bay a bit.

FSTB was one of the first parts I put on, and I could definitely tell that there was much less sway with the front bar in, which really surprised me. I too noticed reduced tire scrub as well. The tighter steering wasn't as dramatic for me. Incredibly, the car feels more planted and seemed to lean less after the bar was installed.

RapidMax, which one did you buy? I was considering one of the FSB sold on Ebay. But I was scared that it wouldn't sit right. Mainly because the prices on Stillen and elswhere are so much higher, I'm afriad I'd get a worse product.

I bought the one from http://www.streetbeatcustoms.com It was $35 plus shipping for a total of $45. I also didn't want to go with an ebay one for the same reason although I've heard they're all the same.

Seems as though the common trend with the FSTB is that people with stock GXE/GLE suspension feel quite a difference with the RSB, while people with the SE suspension don't feel quite much of a difference... Also, those that lower barely feel anything at all... I myself felt a nice difference in my GXE with the FSTB... Now with the RSB the car feels solid even on GXE springs/struts, (regardless those are next on the list to get rid of)... If i wasn't so concerned about the wheelgap issue, i would actually keep my current suspension setup, the car handles pretty damn good and is still just as smooth as before...

Install that piece and start whipping a little better...I think the FSTB made a nice difference in handling...
