Happy : Like Pig in **** !! (rims, etc...)

I've got a 95 GXE. I've been happy with it, but I just put on 98SE Rims and Tires... WORLD of difference!!
95 stock wheels: 205/65-15 steels 98SE: 215/55-16 Alloys
If I had known that it would have made that much difference I would have done it ages ago!! I did it for asthetics... but the handling... love it!!

Anyone here put 225/55-16's on there 98SE rims??? Just wondering if it'll rub on the wheel wells...

Also just replace my Idler Pully... soooo quiet!!!!!!!

Still thinking of the FSTB, likely on the weekend... hear it's noticable on the GXE models... thanks to another informative link...

happy happy happy

It can be done, and no it won't rub. Congratulations.

With 225/55-60 I will get 0.7% over the speedometer reading.
Currently with the 215/55-16's I get 0.6% under...
I just like the idea of crusing at slightly less RPM... even though it is only 0.7%.........
Would you suggest 50 profile for handling or rubbing???

Handling. Plus the 225/55 will look funny.

I have 225/55 on my 99'SE. While I like the slightly wider profile, they do not handle as well due to excess sidewall flex.

I agree. I had 16's with 225/50/16 and they looked just right. a bigger side wall wouldve made them look akward.
