Clutch recommendations
Hi there
Well, I am kind of disappointed. The clutch in my max is gone again. It's a JWT clutch with metal on one side. I think one of the pressure plate rivets has popped. It won't bite until the clutch is almost completely released. I'm sure it's not a bleeding issue/leak.
Can anyone recommend a clutch that will hold more than 500 lb-ft of torque (preferably over 600 after my new block goes in).? Ugh!

I believe it is a stage 1 clutch. The clutch does not feel very durable, or strong. The prings are very weak and with the aggressive way I drive I doubt it will last very long.
Stage 2 and 3 clutches are harder and made to handle higher horsepower and agressive drivers.

And with the aggressive way you say you drive your tranny will not last. I have that same clutch from Maxx Tuning and I actually love it.

I think it's in his head. Because the pedal feels softer, it seems like the clutch is weak when in reality pedal feel doesn't have much to do with clutch holding power. I sell SPEC clutches, and their stage 4 holds 450 ft/lbs of torque for the maxima, and the pedal feel is as soft as stock due to the design.

Well I was hoping to maintain some level of driveability. I was happy with the feel of the JWT clutch until it let go. Unsprung clutches are not what I prefer, but I guess I'll have to consider them.
Thanks
Thanks
