Gotta get rid of this Apex-i WS muffler...

I guess I'm getting old. The noise with my Y is driving me crazy...So I'm thinking of just getting a good OE replacement put onto the B-pipe. Anybody got any good suggestions for good OE replacement mufflers?

How much are 5th gen mufflers running now a day?

NB: if I can find a good deal, the Apex-i will be in the FS forum.

Just the muffler or the whole catback? I thought that the Apexi was the quietest catback out there. And only got nice and deep sounding when you got on the gas.

Been there done that. Got rid of my Stillen muffler after a year. Cool at first, but impractical for a daily driver. I put on a stock forth gen muffler and I love my car again.

Wow, that was quick.

I'd definately be interested in a trade plus cash, probably for a 4th gen muffler. But like I said, I'm tossing around some options right now.

Here's what I'm looking for:
Trade plus cash
Closer is better
I need the replacement before I send out the WS (i.e. it's gotta be of your car and ready to go)
Newer/less used muffler is better

I need to get some info on price of such a swap from local stores (so I know what I'm getting into) before I can make any deals/promises.

If you're interested in a trade, post any pertinent info (as outlined above) to this thread.

Later,
RL

72K kilometers on my 97 Max... The muffler will speak for itself in the pics, it's basically in near perfect shape... PM for info and asking price... I can take pics if needed...

Ok here goes,
1. I am in NC, not that close but only like 1-2 days ups.
2. The muffler is off my car and ready to go at any time.
3. The muffler has 45k on it, and winter is pretty much nonexistent in NC so it is in very good shape.
4. This is off a 4th gen so it is only 2 bolts take off and put the new one on, 15 minute job max, will bolt right up.

I will pay good money for this muffler, granted it is in good condition. Let me know.

Neal, what's your story? I couldn't help but notice you're in MI. I thought you just got a new Megan exhaust?

Anyways, got any info for me on a muffler trade (as outlined above)?

Neal and I were the two who bought the Megan exhaust, I think we are both in the same boat now, looking for a better muffler to replace the oversized tipped one that came on the Megan.
