5 Spd Owners Help!

I noticed recently that when my car is cold in the morning, 1st gear starts off with a grabbing jerky start. Only 1st gear does it and only after the car has been sitting for several hours. Once the car has been driven for about five minutes it goes away. Has anyone else had this happen to them and if so, what was the cause and should I have it worked on? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

i'm pretty sure its because your clutch is still cold. mine does that in the morning too, but after a few stops and starts it becomes smooth again

Mine does the same thing, when its cold, the clutch is jerky and prone to chatter. Once everything gets heated up though it's fine. Anyone know why that happens?

maybe the same reason why autos tend to shift hard and jerky in the morning as well...maybe because all the fluid is just cold and thicker and not warm...

I get some chatter now and then when the car is cold. It annoys the hell out of me but it does always seem to go away once the car warms up.
