i think i'm going to call tomorrow, but if anyone has a full catback from WSP (b pipe and magnaflow muffler), how loud or quiet is it?

i might ask for 2 resonators

i need something quiet. "almost cant hear it at all" quiet.

not paying 370 for a new obx catback

 

370? obx GD was $290.. im sure u can find it somewhere around there

 

If I were you, I would Go with a Budget Exhaust, From Y-Pipe back... budget Y and B pipes, with a muffler of your choice...

 

i cant even find any vendors selling the obx catback except for the ssautochrome place. and its now 370 shipped.

i trust WSP and im going with them most likely, if i dont find a used/cheap obx catback.

I'm also quite interested in people's opinions on sound from this combo, soon as I get a summer job my first check is being spent on a catback.

 

i really dont think a catback is worth it on our car, it doesnt add enough hp to warrant spending that money IMHO

 

Truth is you won't gain much from a catback. If you're so concerned about noise then keep what you have and removed the nasty crush bend (behind resonator) on the stock B-pipe and possibly get a 2k+ muffler. I really didn't think they're be much sound difference with the 2k+ muffler, but I was wrong. The VQ sounds a bit more throaty. I plan on replacing the OEM resonator and crush bend here shortly. Hopefully a Magnaflow resonator will give me just a little bit more sound and maybe a little more power. With this setup I'll have spent ~$200 and I'll have no drone and just a bit more exhaust noise.

my factory muffler is busted. the noise is unbearable.
though i realize a catback is worthless, i feel i might as well do the mod while im at it, since this is something ive put off for a long time.
eh maybe ill just get a new muffler and screw it.

 

gettin the new muffler would be the best way out i think, since that is probably the major power maker on our exhaust systems besides y-pipe
