Help with CEL ECU issues

Ok, I have a 1995 GLE and my CEL has been on for a while now.. When it first came on I checked it and it spit out 0505 so I thought nothing of it and cleared it out.. It came on again a few weeks later and since then my cousin said the car cut off on him twice while he was driving it.. It never did that to me but it did hesitate once(it actually didnt wanna move even though I hit gas) as if it wanted to while I was waiting to turn once. Anyway, I checked it again and this time it spit out 2 codes

0807 = EVAP Canister purge control valve/soenoid valve circuit
0709 = Undefined

Now the A/C stopped cooling around the same time this light came on so I said good, that must really be the problem.. I didnt clear the ECU cuz I wanted someone else to double check.. So I did some digging around here, found out that was pretty cheap to fix and carried my car over to a shop so they could check it too and fix it if possible(really good place).. When they were done they told me that I needed a Knock Sensor, Water Temperature Sensor, Intake Manifold Gasket and an Induction Manifold and said nothing about this EVAP issue.. I asked if any of that crap has anything to do with the A/C not working and they were like no but we can check it for you if you want.. I didnt have time so I left.. In total they're charging me $517.17 to do all the work.. Anyone have any idea what the hells going on with the A/C?

I know they're probably right about the knock sensor stuff because the car runs like crap sometimes, hesitates, you name it it probably does it. Its definitely going up for sale after I fix the issues.

Re: Help with CEL ECU issues

I don't think that the EVAP and A/C are connected at all...

The A/C system is it's own system, and the EVAP is part of the
overall engine work...a non-A/C car will still have an EVAP.

that all said, check your MAFS wiring...
