Better highway gas mileage?

What can I do to get better gas mileage? Will mod's help?

Once a month I travel 300 miles on the highway at 78 mph. Right now I get into the high twenty's mpg using the cruise control. I've got a 5 speed, with 235 wide tires and a K&N panel filter. What do you think? Think a y pipe would help gas milage in this situation?

High 20's is pretty good mileage on the highway for your 5 speed.

i usually get about 27mph highway... though a couple of times i got 31-32mph on a trip to the mountains. though i doubt you'll get much better than this... check your tire pressure... try 38-40psi... watch the weight in the car... 93 octane... draft someone...lol

Re: Better highway gas mileage?

I get about 30 MPG with a CAI and the Stillen exhaust on the hwy. Use the premium gas for sure.
