Timing advance at Dealer
Timing advance at Dealer
No this is not the eBay timing advance crap...
Anyone know anything about timing advance or any other tinkering that can be done to a 4th gen (specifically 97 gxe auto) at the dealer? Looking for small HP gains.
Consider that I have a good dealer hook-up.
Also, what else should I get done at the dealer once I'm there? (I already cleaned the TB so count that one out)

ECU controls timing advance. The dealer cannot advance the timing for you.

Oh well... at least i got a diagnostic, new knock & o2 sensors, and MAF. The sensors i got at dealer's cost... the diagnostic and MAF were free
Even though this was a hookup I still was present at the diagnostic to make sure no fishy business went on... sure enough i got the codes. And when the inventory gets done... umm, those things must've gotten lost in one of the garages or something...
