Hey guys,
I have a prob with my fog light. There is a blocker in front of the bulb so the bulb does not shine directly outward. When looking at the illuminated lamp, i see the outline of that blocker kind of like a halo, the light is very bright around the squarish shadow in the middle. I have tried cleaning the outside and reaiming the lens to no avail. Any ideas?

 

That piece is what directs the light to produce the correct beam pattern. Without it, your fog lights would shine everywhere instead of in a nice direct line of light which you can aim down onto the road.

 

i know what it is and does, but only one light looks like that. the other looks nicely illuminated without that wierd shadow. how do i make the light illuminate normally?

 

Maybe you have a bad bulb.

Those "halos" give you a light beam. Oterwise, your light would be dispersed and less effective for night driving.

 

but why do i have halos on one side and not at all on the other? does everyone have them?

i know what they are there for, i need to know how to get even light.
