ok i had a 3rd gen max i know it inside out just got 4th gen need help how do i take the stereo out is it just clip ons can i just snap the plate out? also does the maxima have a hole to run the power wire for my amps or do i have to drill one?

 

I don't know too much about stereo installation, but I'm almost positive that there is already a hole to run wires for amps and whatnot.

 

I believe in the FAQ's there is a link for stereo removal (pics included). There are a few screws holding the console (stereo and A/C control) in place, so you can't just go pulling at things. As for the hole, I am not sure; there was a hole in the firewall of my '98, but I do not know if it came that way or if the previous owner drilled it.
