intakes and the seasons

do you guys ever go back to stock during the summer? because of the excessively hot weather? the intake doesnt seem to help much at all in the heat... what do u all think?

im not really worried, just dont like the fact that i could be gettin robbed of the power i could just as easily have from puttin the stock back on, but then again, once the sun sets, the nice cool summer air will feel great too... so its all good i guess

I would be happy if the temps in NY never got above 80 this summer... when I took a trip down to florida for spring break my car felt horribly slow. It was around 90 deg. F. For some reason my Injen was making like twice as much noise as it did in cool weather, .

You mean that cold air down there next to the 130 degree asphalt? Well, maybe not where you are, but down here in Texas you can get second degree burns from walking barefoot on blacktops in summer.

The hacked airbox is the only way to go, cold or hot Look at my homepage for pics. It delivers awesome performance and uses the stock intake snorkel to funnel in cooler air to the filter. I don't notice near the "soft" lowend the hybrid offers when the engine is heatsoaked. The sound is sweet too. I've run 99.5mph trap speeds with this intake which pretty much equals the trapspeeds Nealoc and Requin6 get with their JWT ecu/MEVI equipped Maximas (they run hybrid intakes).
