Electrical Problems

Here is what is happening. I have the Apexi RSM and Apexi SAFC so i can get the readings for the following. I notice that when i roll down the windows or roll them up there is a power drain. This is noticed by the volt output on the RSM. Now i know that is normal but what is not normal is that when there is this drain, the throttle reading on the SAFC which is normally jumping around 1-3% at idle goes down to 0% and stays there until i hit the gas again. I wouldnt be owrried about this except that recently when i am at a light and the throttle reading goes down to 0% eventually the car stalls and has a hard time starting again.

Is this a problem with the SAFC or the TPS?

Thanks,
Justin

Update on things that i have changed to try and eliminate this stalling problem:

1)Unhooked the RSM's power and ground from the ECU and wired it seperatley. This didnt have an effect on the throttle reading problem but i did notice at first that the car was running smoother.

2)Sometimes when the throttle is reading zero and i slam on the gas i can only reach 98-99% but never 100%. But then when it is reading 1-3% I can reach the 100%. Any ideas on that?

Bump.

And i believe that the difficulty to start after it stalls is like when you have the ECU disconnected and try to start. The engine turns over but nothing fires.

Interesting

I just bought an Apexi RSM with G-Sensor and I'm going to be getting the S-AFC II once it is officially released in the states. I know a guy who works for Apexi but he said I'd have to wait with all the others...but he'll give me a decent price. I'm going to be running both and was wondering about your issues. My Maxima's interior lights dim when I use the power windows and stuff. Other car owner's running both RSM and S-AFC don't seem to be experience this phenomenom.

Here is what i fugures out. Dont hook either to the power and ground on the ECU because if there are any power problems with your car, this might make the ECU turn off for a sec and cause the car to stall. I gave each unit independent power and independent grounds and havent had a problem yet.
