You need to change your tail bulbs. A similar occurance happened to me, which really had me confused. Well, only one tail light would light at night, but both would light up when I braked or signaled. So I went out and bought new tail bulbs. Before I knew much about the max, or knew about it's tail lights the bulb in the tail actually lights the lense and is used for braking also. In my case the bulb would only perform the braking, but not lighting of the light. You may have a problem like i did, or maybe your brake cables are loose? Do you notice any difference in the way the car brakes?

No difference in the way the car brakes but I will try the bulb theory. Just wierd that the bulbs look intact yet dont work when I brake.

I tried changing the bulbs and that didnt work. Does anyone know how to access the brake relay or some of the components that make the brake lights come on?

check your fuses under the dash, use the owners manual or FSM and check the fuses to see which one is gone!

pretty sure its one of the fuses

good luck!
