I'm a little leery about buying cheap torque wrenches. There's a reason why it is so cheap, and the reason probably isn't a good one. Make sure you have it regularly calibrated if you buy it.

Do I need a special tool to calibrate it by myself?

Get the 1/2" drive torque wrench which goes up to 150 ft lbs. I have bought a Pittsburgh torque wrench and have been satisfied!

I don't think there's a way to calibrate the wrench yourself but be sure to always unwind it back to 0 when you're done. That keeps the spring from stretching out and keeps her accurate.

Do you guys have Harbor Freight in your area? It's a tool store here on the west coast that sells lots of Pitsburgh products (some are reconditioned)...may want to check it out.

Higher foot lbs rating increases versatility. Many 1/2" torque wrenches come with 3/8" adapter.
