Side View Mirror was Taken Off...

I love people in SUV's, especially when they don't know how to park their own freakin cars. End result is that my passenger side mirror was knocked out. I'm sure some of you have had to deal with this, is the damage repairable? I was going to try to get a picture up, but its pouring rain outside. How much do you think its gonna run me getting the new piece installed and still operable. I've already checked carpart.com and it seems pretty cheap and easy to get the mirror, but I'm really wondering what installation will entail. Anyway I could do it myself? Thanks for the help...

My passenger side mirror was ripped off at the dealership they had to order me a new one but I wanted to take the car so I drove a while without a mirror there. I finally got around to putting it on which required that first I get it painted to match the car and finally installing it which took 15 mins. Pretty simple something like 6 screws remove it and rehook the wires and voila! Fixed...I think it is like $200CDN for a new mirror and $50 to have it painted.

very easy to remove broken and replace with new...remove sail panel carefully with one screw under door panel which has to be removed to access

then three bolts removed to take mirror off completely

The mirrors are easy to take off, that why i be wondering why people have there side mirrors taped up when they get taken off... like wizza said its like 3 bolts, I just had mine off this past weekend (purposely) putting in side led mirrors... See if you can find one off a junk yard before anything... 200 is way to much...

I did my side mirror for $90 from a junkyard. If the painted part is salvageable from your old mirror you can actually just swap the painted panel once you take the mirror apart....

I'm having a very hard time getting the black plastic that covers the area for the mirror off. Do I need to take off the entire door panel or should I "rip" it out? I hope someone answers me soon, I'm in the middle of doing it right now.
