Eibach or H&R springs???

which spring Eibach or H&R will be a better combination to go w/KYB GR2??? also, i'm plannin to install y2k maxima SE 17inch rims. in terms of comfort...which would be a better combo since i know i will be gettin a firmer ride than my current GXE setup

thanks

H&R...I talked to an expert and the H&Rs supposedly ride better than the eibachs.

this is where i get confuse...i thought springs r only related to ride height. n as far as ride comfort, i thought those r based on the type of shocks. am i wrong???

H&R's are progressive rate which makes them ride better. They get stiffer as they compress.

I'm not sure about the Eibachs though.

Eibachs are also progressive, but have a slightly stiffer overall spring rate.

I like them better than my H&Rs. A little stiffer but the car seems to handle better.

i want my car to look lowered but not slammed.

n it seems like there is no definite winner between H&R or Eibach???
thanks for all the advice so far...more opinion/advice r welcome.

But they're still top notch springs though.

I don't think my car looks "barely" lowered on H&Rs (look at homepage). GR2s aren't going to cut it though, you need an adjustable strut like the AGX or Koni. I suggest Koni because the ride is superior, but you pay for it.

BTW, H&Rs are not progressive rate in the front. They're linear. The rears are progressive.

Why, do you have B&Gs and like them? It was between the progress springs and B&Gs and i went w/ progress. they been on back order for 3 weeks and im thinkin bout cancleing the order and gettin B&Gs. Let me know how they are if ya got them b/c i never hear anyone talkin about them. I went w/ progress b/c my trunk is heavy and they are 1.7" front and 1.5" rear. B&Gs are 1.6" all around i think...........

I thought GR2s were ok with the H&Rs. Are B&Gs ok with the gr2 cause I want to lower my car but dont have enough to get adjustables

H&R's are really smooth if you couple the fronts with Tokico's.

i have H&R's and GR-2's in my car and i think the ride is pretty good... slightly more stiffer, nice handling. i wish i could drop the car a little more though, but if i do, my ground clearance for the front will be worse and I don't wanna scrape. I have about 6 inches from the ground to my STILLEN front lip.

i dont have them on now, i can let you know in like a week, getting the springs on the 10th (tuesday) so i should have them on shortly after...

Talk to craig mack, he has them and the drop is nice and the ride is great, he also has stock struts which amazes me. Hes had the stock struts for a loong time too. Car still rides good. ill eventually get AGXs, though not right now..

i just helped a friend (costcowholesale) switch from h&r to eibach today.

the eibachs are definitely better.
i don't know why everyone complains about it being harsh...cause its not, the handling is comparable, and the drop is about 1 finger lower.

i think eibach is on the sporty side, while h&r is a bit more on the comfy side...
however they ride very similar to one another.
the drop definitely looks better with the eibachs.
