switching from dino to synthetic oil?

im switchin over to synthetic motor oil @ 73k miles. anything i need to do specifically or keep in mind? i have heard that i should make the first synthetic oil change earlier (like 3k miles instead of 7k). what about engine flush? thanks.

Don't be shy just switch.
There should be no problems.
Once you change to synthetic I would recomend your first interval to be 2000 miles or less.
After that every 5000 miles is fine.
