Maxima spark plugs

Hi All,

I saw some posts saying that the copper NGK's work well with Maxima's and should be cheaper than the platinum ones. Does anyone know who might sell the coppers ones? I called my local dealer and they said they only carry whatever came with the car (i.e. platinum).

I just bought the NGK coppers from Advanced Auto Parts last week for 1.59 ea. I told them to look up the plugs for a 97 Altima, since the coppers wouldn't be listed for the maxima. Same part number BKR5E-11.

Just finished installing them tonight. Car runs well and smooth. Spark Plugs were easy to replace on the maxima. PCV valve was tougher to replace than a spark plug.

So...the only different between the Platinums and Coppers is the life length? No "quality" difference or anything? I'd rather pay $1.59 for 30k than $7 for 60k...

the coppers should have a stronger spark than the platinum plugs. Be sure you get the V-Power NGK's instead of the regular copper plugs.
