hey all
i've been browsing the 4th gen forum because i'm think of getting one after my 3rd gen goes (gonna miss that car) due to rust problems. after think ing about what i wanna do, i've decided that i wanna get a deep (midnight) blue 4th gen. from what lil research i have done i think the 1997 model is what i want. (the model with the single bar holding the nissan emblem on the front). a must have is fogs and i plan on doing the red/clear mod on the taillight, if and when i get it. what i wa shoping is anyone with blue 4th gens would be kind enough to post pics of their cars. i'm also thinking of white or black. also are there any problems or specific things i should look at when checking the car out?

97- needs new alternator. actually 97-99 all ahve that bar in the grill if thats all you want

 

yea i like they way the bar stands out. but isn't the 97 the only one without the speed governor? i thought 98-99 had it in...

 

I think the govenor is only on certain models. I think the autos are the ones with the speed limiter. But im not positive.

 

Only some GXEs have top speed limiters, regardless of model year.

 

well today i plan on starting the search. gonna visit a few dealers and see what they have to offer. about what do you think the average price would be?

 

So many variables go into the price -- trim level, milage, condition, your area -- so it's hard to come up with a number. I'd say you're looking at between $6 and $10k.

 

I DO NOT have a speed limiter, trust me And i have a 99 SE 5-sp.
