Help!! No pwer to Bose radio!!!

Help!! No pwer to Bose radio!!!

Ok I was driving today, and the radio just turned off, and I couldn't get it back on...then the cd came out after like 20min. and it was all fine. Parkt eh car come back in, and this time there is no power at all to it, can't get ti to come on. All other power options work. Checked fuses and they are fine. It's a 98 Maxima SE with teh Bose system. Usually when you push the volume **** in it powers it on and off, and in doing so you here a click coming by the glove box area, I don't hear anything, and there is no power..NOO MUSIC! AHHHHH!!!! somebody please help em out here..thanks in advance

Sounds like the relay for the BOSE system went bad. That is the clicking that you hear when it turns on.

It is located on the right side somewhere, not exactly sure for your year. Check your manual or your dealer.

You can try replacing it with another (use the same color) from the relay box 1 or 2 under the hood and see if it fixes the problem.

Thanks, I was hoping it wasn't the relay, pain in the a$$ to get to. Well radio is back today, so until it cuts out again I'll let it go. Damn relays, haha.....Thanks

Actually, the relay isn't that hard to get too. It is located on the lower right side kick panel, right in front of the passenger door.

It's the first relay from the door. The other relay, if present, is for the door mirrors defroster.

It is a bad ground in the harness. Happend to my car as well as my friends 96 GLE. Just rout the ground to another metal point.
