Odomoter Problem

I have a 96 with 112k miles on it. I noticed one day that my odometer stopped working as i was driving. The following day it worked just fine, but the day afterwards it did the same thing. It stopped functioning then it started working again the next day. This problem affects both the total and the trip odometer. It's completely random when it works or doesnt. Anyone know whats wrong?

I have the same problem only mine stops working when my engine warms up. I've posted this concern once before and no one was able to help, so I think I'm going to try calling the Nissan Dealership and see if they have any suggestions on what it could be.
