Headlight Problem

A couple days ago, I got in my car, turned on my headlights and all of a sudden I noticed the high beam light had come on, but it definately wasn't in the high beam position on the light control. Then I noticed that my right bulb (from the driver's seat) was out. It was completey out cause the DRL wouldn't come on, no low beam and no high beam. Over the next few days, the right bulb still wouldn't come on and the high beam light would still come on when i turned on the headlights in the low beam position. I went and bought a new bulb and replaced the old one, but then noticed from looking at it that the old bulb was fine, and the new bulb didn't work either when i put it in the socket. When there is no bulb in the socket, the high beam light doesn't come on, but otherwise it does when in the 2nd position on the light control. The fuse for that headlight doesn't appear to be burned, and all other exterior light on the car is working fine.

Any ideas? I tried to give as much info as possible.

-Thanks
