Help, weird gas mileage. 28 mpg Highway 14mpg city

This really makes no sense to me because everything I think it could possibly be would mess up both my city and highway mpg, not just one. The ecu was throwing codes for Front Right Heated o2 sensor and knock sensor. I reset it and have driven about 50miles and the engine light hasn't come on yet. Would those lead to such bad city gas mileage? I do have a lead foot but losing 14mpg because of it seems like to much.

Also, i live 3 miles from my job and i come home for lunch everyday. The road i take to work is a fast one so i'm doing about 60mph for 2 miles. Could these little quick trips be the problem.

Thats your problem. Your car is never reaching operating temp. Bunny hop trips always eat gas.

yeah, i just read that part in the FAQ, that just sucks. I might as well live 30 miles away getting the gas milage that I do.

Well at least i konw what the problem is now. I was scared that maybe something big was wrong. I'll just have to start carpooling with some of my friends or something. thanks
