Q about dash kits

Ok i painted my dash and had a couple spots i wasn't happy with, Well i used some stuff i bout at autozone that was supposed to strip paint from plastics and well it left cracks all over my dash. I've been looking for the pieces i need but cant find them so i was thinking of just putting a kit over it. Do you guys think it will look strait and stay on good even though my dash is cracked?
