Tickets on my record: i think 2, always had a boat load
Accidents: None, my car was broke into and had 2,500 dollars worth of repairs

Cash: $1200 a year or $100 a month

3 grand for insurance is INSANE. You can get a better deal I guarantee. I'm 25 now ($1200) but even my most expensive year was $1800 and they ended up refunding some of that. It depends on where you live too (I'm in a suburb of Boston) but 3 grand is insane...

i run about 2000 on a 98 se and i am 20 years old...one speeding ticket and one at fault accident with a diff. car about 2 yrs ago

i have new jersey manufactures insurance and am under my parents policy

I pay $208 a month. I am 20 yrs old. When I was 17 I totaled a $10,000 car. There is no way that you should pay that much. Get on your parents plan if possible.

one tip for all the -25 year olds... DO NOT GET LISTED AS THE PRIMARY DRIVER. Pick your parent with the cleanest record and list them as the primary driver of your car. I've been the secondary driver of my car for 3 years... that's why i pay $100/month or less for full coverage because my dad is the primary insured and has had a clean record for 15 years.
