Broke the clutch pedal today **PICS**

Well this kinda scared me at first because I didnt know what happened. I went to put it in reverse and I heard a loud pop sound. Then the clutch pedal felt funny and it would not go in gear. Had my girl with me too. What an embarassment. haha. Well thinking I was gonna have to get my car towed I got down under the steering wheel and looked at it. I could push it down normally. Then I asked her would it go in gear. She said yeh. So then I looked again. This is the problem. The metal braket that holds the pedal and springs on broke. Right where the bolts go through it and hold the master cylinder. One side broke right where the bolt went. The one closest to the passenger side causing the pedal to slide to the left and hit the dead pedal spot and making the car not go into gear. So I made it home and called Nissan. The bracket is 60 something itself not counting the pedal and springs. He found me one at a junkyard for 100 with everything in tact. I just told him I will take it because I cant wait for the bracket go get in from their warehouse or wherever they get them from. Bought me some of those nuckel joints to help get those two master cylinder bolts off. Nissan wanted $140 to just take that off. What a rip off...

As promised...

Kinda hard to take off by yourself b/c that bolt is suppose to be attached to the bracket and it isnt so it kept spinning. Took about 45 minutes to take everything off. Master Cylinder bolts arent that bad at all...

The donor pedal...

Notice the wiring harness that I didnt have before. I didnt know there was two switches on the pedal. My cruise worked when I only had the bottom one. Now to grease it up and install it.

Finished. What a PITA when you dont have an extra set of hands!!!! Long story short it was installed wrong to begin with. It is way easier to press than it was. Feels like a new car all over again.
