Intake question

Hey guys need opinion on which CAI to get.

I'm deciding between two intake kits, can you guys take a look and tell me what you think?

Ok the first one I'm looking at has a K&N filter:

K&N

Second one is generic I think:

Cheaper One

Ok now my question is, since both of these come with a Midpipe (Short Ram piece) can I just use the Midpipe section and leave the Cold Air piece out? Also can you guys see any difference besides the filter between these two?

Any input/opinions will be greatly appreciated! Thanks guys.

An intake is an intake. Plain and simple.
I belive though with cold air you gain low end and lose high end,
but the ram air you get decent gains thoughout.
But an intake is still and intake. a $500 intake will perform the same as a $15(relitavaly speaking)

Awesome, I was thinking about getting the CAI because I'd have more options with it. For $50 I can get both the short RAM and the CAI compared to the FrankenCar's $130 price tag for just the Midpipe.

So now I guess the question is which filter to get?

filter up to you..id do k&n or apexi, they use oiled cotton on steel mesh... hks and hks style uses foam.. foam can sometimes chip off and go into your cumbustion cycle and leave deposits. deposits = badd.. but thast imo.. if you get a real hks u should be ok though.. their stuff is high quality foam. shouldnt chip too much or at all. k&n is just race proven and used by alot of professionals so i trust it.
