I was wondering if the headlights should be on when we turn the car and and let the lights off cause my left light is off and my right on is on and I don't know which one is wrong. I have a 95 GXE

 

LOL...headlights should NOT be on unless the stalk is turned to that position.

LoL, I'm having trouble understanding your whole question, but no, unless the light switch is in the on position, no light should be on, whether the car is on or off.

 

I'm talking about the day time lights, most of the cars from 10 years ago have the headlights on even if lights are off, or is it just in canada?

 

Oh, I think I know what you mean, are you talking about daytime running lights? The ones that saturns have? Ive never heard of a Max that had that, its either on or off on my 95 SE.

 

....its either on or off....you prolly can modifiy it to stay on though...not hard..just rewire the headlight power to the accessory light...that way it would only be on, if the key was in the accessory or on position.

is your car from canada? i think canadian models have day-time running lights and the headlights will run at low wattage when the key is in the ACC postion and the e-brake is not being used.
