What filter is this?

I forget where I pulled this from, but I'm in need of filters similar to this for a couple cars:

Is this a cheap AutoZoner or are there better places to get them? Do they have a specific name?

Its a crankcase breather filter. K&N makes a good one. APC makes a cheaper one that will suffice.

IMO breathers are a waste of money, they're just there to look "cool"

I actually 'need' them. I'm eliminating a few hoses.

i think the inlet is 1/4"... but if you are replacing your crankcase hose/vent... i really would recomend not to. my car ran really bad with it on there... bad idle... hesitation... and i've heard the same thing from other people on the board. and as soon as i put the hose back on, all the problems went away.

but the 1/4" inlet will stretch to fit ~1/2" or so
