OK my bro has a 99 maxima SE. He wants to make it a little faster and still keep it quiet. After lookin at this site I told him he should look into a intake(i know it will make it a little louder, but not too much) and a Y pipe. What brand intake and Y pipe would you all recomend and where is the cheapest site to buy it at? Also he is thinking about gettin a cut-out, i havent seen many post on this, why dont alot of people get them? Also are thier any free mods that he can do?

Budget Y pipe from Budget Exhaust. Cold Air Intake from ebay. Buy the one with a K&N filter or add one later.

i second that, the intake is only loud when you go full throttle. y pipe is barely noticable even at full throttle.

 

I got my Y pipe from Warpspeedperformance.com Pretty good product, but shipping time was a disaster

 

Question: what are "cut-outs"??
