overheating
overheating
Whats up evryone!I got this weird problem:my 97 Max will overheat while idling with A/C on.As soon as I start driving, the temp comes down.I changed thermostat and checked the radiator-all good. The fans work(both speeds)and it wasnt overheating last summer.Any ideas guys? Thanks for your help
If you have already changed the thermostat and the fans are working, then the only places left to look at are water pump, and Rad
My 99 SE started overheating last summer. I changed the thermostat and flushed the cooling system, and had the dealer check all sensors. The dealer said that they suspected the rad was partially plugged causing poor circulation. I pulled the rad out and looked inside the rad, and it seemed OK, but i changed it anyway, and the overheating went away.
Changing the rad is easier and cheaper than the water pump

i spoke with an old nissan tech he said unless the pump is leaking its ok.the sensor is also new.as far as the radiator goes i dont think it clogged in one year especially after flushing it.i've been using toyota antifreeze in it,so no deposits.i'll probably take it to nissan.thanks for replies.
