What is the best gas for my max in canada ?
I'm located in the sunny okanagan
For gas stations i have :
- petro canada
- chevron
- turbo (shell)
- shell
- Save on foods gas
- mohawk
- husky
- esso
- couple of no-names
I've been using the petrocan as the station is located in a convienient spot on the way to work.
Petrocan fuel lasts longer then chevron or shell. No i'm not
I did think i was nuts because it seemed like the chevron would go quicker. Work is a 35min 60km (40mi) trip. I confirmed it on another board for radio controlled models. They have the 1/5th scale touring cars running a zenoah 23 cc engine. When racing they have a 1/2 hour main (last race after qualifiers). If you have trouble finishing the race with the fuel onboard (no pitstops allowed) people are using the petrocan fuel for the extra time needed.
It may last longer but is it better ?
Growing up my dad had an old 68 monaco (dodge land yaught) It ran like %%it on pertocan. He spent months tuning it up and tinkering with it. Changed to chevron and it ran great.
I'm running the premium that the VQ likes (91) I tried 3 tanks of the 89 but for $4-5 a tank it runs so much nicer.
Thanks for the help, martin
