Sectioning off engine bay for Intake

I'm thinking about creating a divider that sections off the right side of the engine bay with the rest of the engine bay so that during idle and slow crusing, my intake doesn't suck up so much hot air. Has anybody done something like this? Basically, create an effective heat shield?

I'm actually trying to make one right now. I have half of it done, I have not gotten around to making the other half.

Cool, let me know when you have it done.

Here is what I have come up with so far...

But it hardly effectively divides the engine bay....

I don't have the stock scoop. Mine start behind the radiator, as close to the engine as possible, and extends back beyond my midpipe. From there it extends to the fender well to the right. There is a piece on the bottom too, to keep hot air from getting in from underneath. That's what I have to far. I have to make the top piece covering about 1/4 of the engine bay. It's gonna be a box basically with the front open to air coming in from the radiator.
