About a year ago some strange things started happening with my 95 SE.
The doors stopped auto locking when we cross the target speed and now sometimes while the car is parked, the doorlocks would open and close a few times all on their own. Real freaky
In other words, I can't be sure that when I leave my car locked that I will come back and find it locked. Somedays the doors would lock after we cross the speed and other days we would drive for quite a while and then they'd lock. We don't have keyless entry on the 95 SE so that's not an issue. I'm thinking it's some kind of short or the unit on the driver door for the locks could be bad or whatever unit checks the speed to lock the doors. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions?

Auto lock at a certain speed? I have a 96 GXE and its the first time I heard of this feature. I have never experienced it.

 

LOL...its not a feature...its a problem. The doors don't lock when they're supposed to. It's like random.

 

I had the same problem. I think its from a past alarm install from the previous owner. My door locks would lock on their own when i was driving. Somtimes when i would unlock them from the inside they would lock themselves right back up. Now that Ive had a new alarm put in it doesnt really do it as much anymore. Only when I unlock with the remote, the passenger and rears will lock back up leaving the driver unlocked. I have to hit unlock twice to open all four.
