was thinking about shaving rear of my trunk , not sure how it would look on my dark evergreen max, i have seen the emblems off on the 97+ and think it looks sweet because they have the option to make red clears

but im not sure if the amber tails will look good with it shaved unless i try to get red clears which is very unlikely

so if u can post your pics of your max shaved

My 95 Is dark green with orange blinkers and is completely shaved and I think it looks great. I will try to get you pics.

holy crap we are twins.. i have the amber redded out with shaved trunk too.. jsut my car is a 95 black emerald... nice.. and for whoever was thinking about shaving it.. doo it.it looks better.just red out your tails and youll be ku..

 

IMO it looks naked without the "MAXIMA", i say just take off the hamburger

I thought so too, at first. But then it grew on me. Some just leave the hamburger. I was thinking of getting a Japanese variation of "Nissan", which might look cool. These older pics don't show it, but I took the "MAX" letters and put them in the lower right corner--turned out pretty well.

any other way to get in besides that, i disconnected my trunk release,

Hey look at that it is the "prototype" red/clears that Greg asked everyone on the org for.

He made a post a couple years back and asked for red/clear tails from a 96 as a protoype pair so that they could start making them. Only thing is they never made them and instead only used that pair for an add.

I have a trunk button on my remote. Mine is a 95 GLE Auto. From what I've been readin' there are two remote options for 4th gen max's. I guess i got the one with dome light and trunk buttons. Anyway the 3A muffler is sweet. Its certainly not as deep as full cat-backs like stillen but really nice. That combined with the HAI makes it growl like a Camaro. From 1700 - 3100 its real deep. Then dies off and Intake comes in.
