power antenna
I just noticed that my antenna is not going up. What fuse
controls this. Is it because of the cold weather? Can you
check if the antenna is getting power with a test light. Why is my car becoming HOOPTY. Someone Holla this is getting
rediculous! This car is getting me tight!

Do you hear the motor straining to push it up? >>
If you don't hear the humming noise, the motor could be burned out. If you do...and the antenna moves up slightly, have someone turn the radio on, while you gently pull up on the tip...if it starts to rise with your help, it probably has some kinks in it. Clean it thoroughly with WD-40, check to see if there are any bends, and relube with a mo-lith grease (or any other thick grease). If it does not rise on it's own at all, and actually feels loose as you pull it up, the internal cable has snapped. YOu'll need a replacement mast from a dealer for about $40.

Maxi-million [/QUOTE]The power antenna circuit relies on two fuses...
#21, 10 amps
#40, 7.5 amps
In the '99 Maxima the passenger cabin fuse block has three columns of fuses.
The left-most column contains fuses 1 - 11, numbered from bottom to top.
The middle column contains fuses 12 - 26, numbered from bottom to top.
The right-most column contains fuses 27 - 40, numbered from bottom to top.
The numbers are molded into the plastic fuse block. They are not easy to
read. A flashlight will be helpful.
