yea at idle, like at a light or while i have it in park, its a loud whistling HISS sucking kinda noise, i mean i know its sucking air and going through the piping makes noise...but could a bad filter cause it to be louder than normal?

Re: how can i make my CAI's hiss at idle quieter?

I had the same hissing with my CAI. SOLUTION!! - I adjusted the throttle body bypass valve (black plastic screw on top of TB) until the hissing went away...you'll end up moving your idle a hundred rpm up or down in the process, but other than that it's an easy fix for the hiss.
