Scuffing/Damage To Interior Trim Pieces
Hmm, can't seem to find my previous post concerning this, anyways,
I was just curious to know how would I go about removing relatively deep scuff marks from the passenger side trim area, below the airbag area and around the glove compartment on the 4th gen? The owner who I bought the car from had 2 young children and I'm pretty convinced they liked to kick the dash.
Just a general question, if it can't be fixed DIY, seemingly, would it be cheaper to replace the damaged pieces with other pieces from another 4th gen or would repairing it fix the damage? I haven't called my local Nissan dealership but I assume it would cost significantly more to buy the pieces from them or have them fix it?
BTW, the dash and glove compartment are made of vinyl, correct?
Thanks.

Hmm,
I've called my local Nissan dealership and they haven't gotten back to me yet.
Any chance I can fix this myself? I've heard black shoe polish could work, but I'd rather fix it rather than just cover it, if that's what it was intended to do.
Any ideas

You can always try the Ebay route for a new glove box door...someone may be parting out a car too, junkyards could work as well. As far as fixing the damage under the airbag, I know there's a couple DIY plastic kits on the market but have no clue how good they are or if the color matches or if you can match the grain. Probably wouldn't hurt to take the car to an auto detail place as they may be able to fix it.
