ECU error codes and fuel filter question
ECU error codes and fuel filter question
I have a 1995 Maxima SE 5spd.
My friend and I were working on my car today. I had the check engine light come on, after resetting it two weeks ago. The codes I got were 0103 and 0908, which are both for the engine coolant temperature sensor. Does that mean both sensors are bad? From what I've read through searching, there are two sensors. How simple are they to replace?
Also, when attempting to change out the fuel filter, we removed the gas cap and tried to remove the filter. The hose would not come off. Then we removed the fuel pump fuse, started up the car, let it use the gas in the lines, then cranked it a few times after it stalled. Still, the hose wouldn't come off. Any advice on how to successfully remove the hose? He had no problem with the first method, when he changed out the fuel filter on his 1999 Maxima SE.
Thanks everyone!
-Brian.

About the sensors, fairly easy to replace w/ a Haynes manual in hand.
For the fuel filter, I couldn't get my hose off. It was stubborn.. I ended up paying $25 (including the filter) to have it done at some lube place.

you may have to use a screwdriver or other similiar tool to pry around the edge of the hose on the fuel filter. i remember mine was tough and i had to do that. but once you get it moving it will "jump right out"
